Even I enjoyed the DoW 2 campaign for the most part.
Me too. It was pretty obvious from the first time I played DOW2 that the vast majority of development time went into SP. A lot of people (myself included) didn't like the MP but it was never really the focus of that game. The SP elements really did shine. Especially the customization and loot. I'd like to see Relic do more with that in the future, not necessarily in DOW3 though.
Well technically tgey could do something similiar like a dungeon crawler coop like something the last. Mission was like but before each mission you can pick war gear that may not change appearance but gice you different abilities n such. And they could baby it and allow mod tools to make personal missions as well. It would be something they should consider doing eventually wants DoW 3 develops into a healthy game. It would be fairly cheap too im guessing.

Single player needed more missions and more loot There were many cases of people making it to the end and not getting the weapon type they wanted.
DoW 2 was pretty barren in multiplayer at launch too. After the gameplay change, 2 races added, new units and new maps did it really feel like a whole multiplayer experience. Hopefully in DoW 3's expansion or DoW 4 they put in a larger amount of units and races. 3-4 just feels so empty.

in disign, lore, story line and writting, charactors and not making everthing look like a joke dow2 is better
The writing is ++heresy redacted++ in DoW 2. Like a librarian apparently gaining the favor of khorne? LoL big lore no no right there.
Or just 15 space marines in total kill thousands of enemies eldar, nids, orks chaos space marines and an avatar of khain all by themselves. Looks like lore ++heresy redacted++ too me.
That depends on someone's tastes. Of course Dow1 and Dow2 were received better than Dow3, but I personally liked all of them. All 3 have own pros for me:
Dow1 - base building, 9 races, and meta campaign in second and third expansion.
Dow2 - no base building and few races, but with option to chose commander, 3 for each of 6 races, some customization and wargear in campaign.
Dow3 - base building back, nice linear story campaign with perspective switching between races (yep, that was interesting experience for me ), only 3 races, but recompesated with fair amount of Elites and Doctrines.
All of them - Annihilation mode, WH40k setting (to me doesn't need to feel like this universe, a setting is enough)
Cover, there is but I rarely used it in battles with AI unless I was forced, but not so much, even in Coh 2 didn't used cover in matches against AI. As for lore, not so much because I was always focused on gameplay.
Overall in fact, the third Dow didn't have a as much blast as previous two, but I eventually got used to it and liked it. Of course I don't expect any new races soon or ever, but I won't hide, if they would be announced, then that would so sweet to me, more than in Dow1 or Dow2, thanks to mostly Elite and Doctrine system.
Nope. Khorne forbids the use of psykers, and the World Eaters killed all of theirs when during the Heresy they committed themselves to the Blood God. In older rulebooks they were characterised with anti-psyker wargear (Collar of Khorne) and could never take Sorcerors (3ed). Unsure if this has changed with 6ed and later Codices (4ed was a very basic Codex, and I don't think they got a 5ed Codex), but I don't think it has.
Exactly this. if I want to play WH 40k close to the TT, I play tabletopia. RTS should aim to present stuff how it could look in our real world and in this regard DoW III fails quiet big.
How?
DoW1 units were literally moving plastic minis.
DoW3 units are very well textured and detailed upgrade over DoW2, to say otherwise is akin to saying SC1 looks better then SC2.
All DoW2 had over DoW3 in terms of unit looks was "customization" with army level or army DLCs.
DoW1 is just a potato in this discussion and whoever is referring to that as visually superior should have his eyes checked.

Yeah that is a sign of ++heresy redacted++ writing though even for novels. Id expect it from notable legends and such like mephiston or eisenhorn with his demon pet. But a single Blood raven team. Nah. Not buying it.

Its true khorne absolutly hates psykers. The blood pact are known to use blood witches (or whatever they are called) that practice demonology. Dont even think they have psyker gifts since most of it is just sacrifices and blood rituals.

Literally says no to all psykers. Google supports this, there don't appear to have been any major revisions whilst I've been out of the craft. This isn't to say Khorne doesn't use Warpcraft; its a Chaos God. Obviously the Warp factors majorly into doing stuff. Rituals too. Summon the daemons and so on. But in terms of granting favour to psykers? Not a thing. You literally cannot have a Khornate follower who uses psychic powers, at least by the lore as provided by Games Workshop (and pretty much anything I've read by the Black Library too. And I've read the Soul Drinkers).

You were saying that Khorne does not accept psykers and I totally agree with that.
but if u notice on the campaign of retribution you will notice that the Blood Ravens were fighting the Alpha Legion and not the Black Legion as they were saying.
It's even on the last mission if you click on Kyras it says Alpha Legion.
And from that point I have a friendly lore theory to support about that mislead.Kyras and the Apothecary Galan said that they were upon the judgement of carrion when kyras was first sought corrupted.
In all the expansion no clue was said from them from the past. Now if we suppose now that Kyras and all of his crew that time were asassinated and be replaced with Alpha Legionaires,it won't be so difficult for them to make all the infiltrated corrupting-inside job to the Blood Ravens. And Kyras was thought lost when impisoned with Ulkair. So if we take all account, the Alpha Legion made a good story to cover it's tracks.

Difference:
DoW1: Great
DoW2: Good
DoW3: Fail
Your's tastes and maybe of many of others, but, as I said, I liked all of three of them. True, that Dow3 was seen as a fail by fans at launch unlike Dow1 and Dow2, but stilll I liked it. And on this forum there also people who like this game. Besides Dow3 got a bigger since release and Relic will still giving more support at February. And I apprecciate their effort to make it bigger in content, cause I like more content in RTS, especially new races.

Talk about Lore-breaking...
Also lasts nearly as long in melee combat.
He has na refractor shields as item. Also the size difference between an marine and an big adult is visually not that big from the view we have in the game. Angelos stands several feet higher then the normal marines and even bigger then terminators!
The visual size difference is not as subtle as in DoW II
You're not complaining about the decision to make elites visible on field... that's the only reason Gabe and all other elites are larger then their line counterparts-visual clarity is one of the foundations of dow3, remember?

Many people saw Soulstorm and Dawn of War 2 (2009) as a fail at launch and both of those games were sorted out in time, I suspect Relic will give Dawn of War 3 the same treatment for this who dislike it.
