So I've been messing around with world builder and found something interesting. It appears all units are lit by an invisible lights source and distance fog is applied at half strength which makes units stand out from the background too much. To illustrate better what I'm talking about here's a couple of screenshots:
Notice how there's barely any distance fog on the top right Predator tank. Also you can see the effect of unit light is even more prominent on dark/night maps.
I can see why this was put in place for gameplay reasons but why is there no toggle in stettings to disable unit light and enable distance fog or rather, enable it and make non cartoony settings default. I mean, we already have unit selection frames for those who have a hard time figuring out what's going on on screen.
