Also, there is no reason to compare string space\attrib tabs, because new resourses may not be linked\got reference in them yet. Relic could have also changed netcode\engine for obs\in-game store or whatever alse, so you need to compare libraries (md5 anyone?), too.

That's it? The great update that would turn tables and bring ppl back? Our last hope?
Given that the patch in question hasn't landed yet we don't know yet. There were evidently some behind the scenes changes here, but we have no idea what data the upcoming patch will itself contain. So maybe, maybe not.
As was said by Morifen on another thread which is now locked, most of the lines people are speculating about were already there. There are (apparently) only four new lines: Difta-Droppa Mastery, Rune Warrior, Amaranthine and Gork's Mug:
11144024 Ork Miscellaneous
11144025 Lifta-Droppa Wagon must be deployed to the battlefield
11144030 Wraithseer Kayduin Mastery
+11144031 Da Lifta-Droppa Wagon Mastery
11144032 Ironclad Dreadnought Mastery
11144033 Trakta Shield
11144034 Target Allied Unit + Secondary Activation

Amaranthine, rune warrior and gork's mug sound like new skins for the 3 new elites added in October. Make war not love content, do we think?
Yeah I thought they sounded like skins, and now that you mention it they do seem to fit the October Elites. Watch this be all the February content :P

Sad that Relic was forced to make skins for that event. If not this event, then we would probably see more content in February.
If DoW team hopes for any chances to win vs TW and CoH in the upcoming MWNL event they better be releasing TLS with the update. It would suck if those skins I'm waiting forever are lost if we lose the battle. Being able to purchase them later would help, but it would inevitably bring the microtransactions rage from the large part of the fanbase, including a lot of those who don't play it and just waiting for the next reason to spit at the game.

Sigh.
I doubt MWNL significantly delayed other content plans, if there were any. Skins would be the focus of the art team, who, while vital for implementing new content, aren't the ones directly responsible for things like designing new systems. If content is being held back it's probably not because SEGA wanted some skins for MWNL.

Thats blasphemy and they can surely kiss my rear end if they do that lol.
Just depends really how they impliment it. I would not mind it coming back to a certain extent. Alot of doctrines can be implimented as wargear upgrades. Like ablative plating, sniper overwatch, improved plasma grenades for eldar, spotting grots etc etc.
To be honest, I surprised myself by spending more and more time at Dawn of war III than at Dawn of War II (Even if I'm a CoH fan), I just sincerely hope that Relic come back speaking to us again on the forum, telling us what they are planning instead of remaining apart.
I think that maybe this was just a patch to install the infrastructure needed for their next patch which if I remember correctly is supposed so to be content.
I would really like to see this game with more race, more units, it may even attract new player with new races.
I have looked at the text files and they talk about a "critical point" that can be built and that unlocks special and devastating abilities (ancestral storm, orbital bomber, etc.)
It is also mentioned a specific building for each race where elite units can be produced.

Oooooooooh. Speaking of second one, something like a Hero producing Altair from Warcraft 3? Would be nice too.
Still not sure if it is for real and was ever planned, but if it is planned now, then cool, but would like to be balanced. Like for example limiting to choose only 3 to produce for entire match, so we could avoid Elite spam.
The critical point to call abilities reminds me a about Superweapon, mostly from CnC, but Act of Aggression also had Superweapon as well.

If this is a change that is coming, it will be a very positive one, imo. That will help make games play out in a less predictable and stale way.

Well that certainly sounds like a radical change.
I'm curious, but I am also one of the few that loves DoW3 as is.

Also, Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War III - Soundtrack was updated about 9 hours ago (February 6, 2018 – 12:15:10 UTC) in Steam's "depots".
Was always wondering why they had never released it.
