My question would be, is there no way to make a Warhammer 40k game in the future? What would completely simulate the tabletop game, would the game itself be scripted?
Warhammer 40k tabletop in a videogame would be very boring. I don't know what you mean by scripted. But Warhammer is very fun table top for a lot of reasons that wouldn't translate to digital well:
I didnt knew that Gladius is getting a new race before. Even if it is not in my taste due to being turn based.
About the rest, perhaps it is why Warmachine Tactics becamed a fail. Pity, because I enjoyed the demo and wanted to get it despite its bad reception and maybe bugs and bad optimalisation, but I wasn't allowed for that because of its bad rep exactly.
@Draconix That is definitely part of the reason Warmachine Tactics bombed. But the other part from my understanding is that it was very buggy and never really fixed.
VASSAL also exists, though I don't know how well-maintained it is. It's very . . . clunky, and relies on unofficial or extremely unofficial 2D art stand-ins.
Used to play V40k, back in the day. Wouldn't have the time now, nor would I want to fight with that particular engine again
I was originally playing 40k. I have Necron ls Adeptus Mechanicus army.
If I can't go to the club then Tabletop Simulator will play with my friends.
Very good, but most models are old or ugly.
It would be a lot nicer to have a so-called 40k game that would include the basic rules and teach the player.
If you no longer have a DoW3 development or DoW4 plan
The Simulator should also be properly prepared so it would be good to teach the game.
this is our battle with a friend.
